Where are you located? Do you offer virtual sessions?
I'm based in New York City (Manhattan and Jersey City). In-person sessions are available at my space, and all offerings are also available virtually via video call. Virtual sound healing is surprisingly powerful — many clients report effects just as profound as in-person sessions.
How long are sessions and how much do they cost?
I have a variety of session options, see Offerings for more details.
How do I book?
Start with a free 15 minute discovery call so we can talk about what you're experiencing and which session makes the most sense for you. You can book directly here. There's no commitment or pressure, it’s just a conversation.
What should I wear / bring?
For energy healing or meditation sessions you should wear loose, comfortable clothing. For yoga asana wear something you feel comfortable moving in.
Everything else is provided. For virtual sessions, find a quiet space where you can lie down undisturbed for the duration of the session.
Is this safe for everyone? Are there contraindications?
Energy healing is gentle and non-invasive, and is generally safe for most people. If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or have a serious psychiatric condition, please let me know before booking so we can discuss what's appropriate for you. When in doubt, consult your doctor and feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
I'm a skeptic. Can this still work for me?
Yes, and you're in good company. I'm an engineer who spent years in finance and tech. I came to these practices as a pragmatist, not a blind believer. What I've found, and what many of my skeptical clients have experienced, is that the body responds to these frequencies whether or not the mind is convinced. All I ask is that you come with an open enough mind to lie down and let the sound do its work.
How is this different from other practitioners?
Every practitioner is a product of their history, identity, trainings, and experiences. What I believe makes me unique is my background as an Indian American, someone who has used this practices to transform her own life, and someone who lives in the intersection of technology and spirituality. Ultimately, you should only work with me if you enjoy my energy and feel comfortable around me.

How is sound healing different than a sound bath?
Often these terms are used interchangeably, I use them to delineate different experiences. A sound bath is primarily focused on relaxation and can include multiple participants. A sound healing session is done one-on-one and is focused on removing energetic blocks in the chakras and increasing the flow of energy. While both sound baths and sound healing work on the energetic body, a sound healing session will be more effective / intense as it will be one-on-one and I will be adjusting based on what I observe in your energetic and physical bodies.
What will I feel during a session?
Every participant has a different experience during a sound healing, the same participant can also have a different experience depend on the day and both their and my energy. Physically you will experience hearing instruments played all around your body. This is something all of my previous clients have raved about! You may also feel hot or cold during the session depending on how energy is shifting. If you are energetically sensitive you may also feel the flow of energy in the body. At times there may be discomfort as energetic blocks are removed, this is normal and nothing to be concerned about. After the session you may feel more sensitive or tired for the next 24-48 hours as your body processes the healing frequencies.
Is there really a difference between a 1:1 sound healing and a group sound bath?
That is a valid question. The analogy I like to use is going to the gym. You can go to a group fitness class or get a personal trainer, sound bath vs sound healing is the same. In a 1:1 sound healing session all of my energy will be completely focused on you, I will adapt the session to your needs as I notice how your energy body responds, and we’ll be able to go deeper than in a general sound bath class.

What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is an experience where you sit or lie in a comfortable position while the sound therapist plays a variety of instruments to provide relaxation and facilitate meditation. This can also be thought of as a type of meditation where nothing is required of the practitioner or a form of energy healing.
Do I have to have a meditation practice?
No! No prior experience is necessary. In fact, many people who struggle with other forms of meditation experience great benefits with sound baths.
Do I need any equipment?
No equipment is needed, all you need a comfortable place to sit or lie down during the sound bath. Headphones are recommended (with volume half way), but not required for virtual sessions.
Where do sound baths come from?
A large portion of the sound baths I lead are based on nada yoga (the yoga of sound) and other practices for the Indian subcontinent. This is an ancient healing and meditation tradition that focuses on balancing chakras (energy centers) and pancha tatwas (5 elements) in the body. Sound baths help remove energy blocks (stuck or stagnant energy) and increase the flow of energy in the body. I have also studied gongs (ancient China), tuning forks (modern America), monochord (ancient Greece), and more. All of these traditions and instruments inspire me and have become part of my repertoire.
What about the science of sound baths?
There are 5 different categories of brain waves:
Gamma: highly active
Beta: alert, focus
Alpha: relaxed awareness, creativity, heightened learning
Theta: healing, dream state, meditative state
Delta: deep relaxation, dreamless sleep
Sound baths play frequencies that bring the brain into a theta state of peace, relaxation, and reduce stress and anxiety.
Sound baths increase neural plasticity by bringing the brain and body from stress to neural coherence; they help activate the parasympathetic nervous system which calms the body down from flight, fight, or freeze to rest and digest. Neural plasticity is the forming of new neural connections in order to continually adapt to new situations, this is always important for us to stay healthy and our brain to stay active.
How often should I participate in a sound bath?
Just like you shower every day to clean your body, you should have a sound bath periodically to clean your mental, emotional, energetic, spiritual bodies. Once a month is great, once a week is even better!

What is pranic healing?
Pranic healing is a no-touch form of energy healing based on the chakras and meridians that helps the client heal by removing energetic blocks and bringing in divine / universal energy.
Does it work?
The effectiveness of the treatment depends on a variety of factors including the severity of the issue, the client’s receptivity, and the karmic nature of the issue. Every client will have a different experience. Just as a doctor cannot guarantee an outcome, neither can I. What I can guarantee that will put 100% effort into healing during my session and offer as much support as I can.
What will I feel during a session?
If you are not sensitive to energy you may not feel anything other than feeling relaxed by the end of the session. If you are sensitive to energy you may feel relief, energy shifting, different sensations or temperatures, or an out of body experience. You should continue to rest and avoid showering for 24 hours to help the energy assimilate.

What is yoga?
Many people think that yoga is what you do when you go to a class, get on a mat, and make some shapes. That is actually asana, the Sanskrit term for postures. Yoga is a mental, physical, and spiritual practice. Asana is just a small component of yoga. There are different yogic traditions. What I offer is a supportive asana practice and lead different types of meditations to help you connect with your higher self.
Do I have to be young / thin / strong / flexible for yoga?
NO!! There are a variety of asana styles and many variations for each posture. I focus on making the practice accessible by offering many variations and adjusting the pace based on the student(s) present.
What are the benefits of yoga?
There are multiple benefits from a physical yoga practice. First and foremost, yoga asanas (physical postures) are all about connecting the breath with movement. This has two benefits: 1) combining breath and movement impacts the energetic body and chakras to help remove energy blocks and increase the flow of vital energy (prana) 2) helps the practitioner connect more deeply with themselves. Over time the practice can also help with increased strength, flexibility, and relaxation.
What is meditation? Why should I do it?
By now you’ve probably heard of the benefits of meditation. Nowadays there are many different forms of meditation. I lead guided meditations, breath awareness, and mantra chanting. According to yoga philosophy, the ultimate goal of meditation is to connect with our higher self and the divine. This is not exclusive to any particular faith. Through a consistent meditation practice you may enjoy more calm and presence, less reactivity, and a stronger connection with your intuition.
